A new zoner asked me a question, and it prompted a suggestion. She asked me why she couldn't hear the sounds for alerts (login, connected to ZBP, logout, etc.) when public qn's are turned off. I told her that wasn't an option and then started thinking that might be useful. Perhaps it would be helpful to design the site in such a way that, when public qn's are turned off, one is still able to hear the sounds that signal activity on the site, such as those mentioned above. Just a thought...

i like this idea a lot, it's been suggested many times before but either nothing seems to happen or it's getting worked on

I do like this idea. but I feel if there's an option as a check box, that'd be fine. so that for those who wana hear that alerts, they can check that box and the rest can clear it.

raaj.

yes, this has been suggested before and personally i agree; it's a good idea for those who may want it. for standard members, this would simply be an option (probably under qn filters) which would turn all notifications on/off for all users when publics are off.

but premiums could set it up so that they only receive notifications (login/out messages, zbp activity etc) for certain people. perhaps they could add this to the person watch feature.

what do you think?
